Safety and Sanitation Poster


Objective: I will be able to understand the basics kitchen equipment and measuring by the end of the period

1. Create a colorful poster about kitchen safety and sanitation-- one per kitchen. Each person must contribute to the poster! Write your names, kitchen number and period on the back on the paper and turn in on supply counter.

2. Go over measuring lab for tomorrow and recipe for Friday!

What to include:
*How to stay safe in the kitchen


*Kitchen lab rules and guidelines
*Common accidents and how to handle them
*How to prevent cross contamination
*Fight BAC campaign

2. Present poster to the class! Talk about what you included and why you included them on your poster. We will hang these around the room to remind ourselves how to stay safe while working in lab!

3. If time, finish/begin: How to read a recipe activity
