Buttons & Pin Cushion

Take out your folder, pen/pencil, and project bag. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer.

Objective: I will be able to complete a blanket stitch and decorations (pompoms, buttons and sequins) by the end of the period

Agenda:
  1. Review bell ringer 
  2. Demo & Complete: Chain Stitch
  3. Demo: Sewing on a button 4-hole and 2-hole
  4. Complete: Sewing on a button
  5. Review: Sequins and pompom application
  6. Complete: Sequins and pom pom application
  7. Demo: Pinning & Cutting Patterns
  8. Finish: Pin Cushion
    1. 1 piece felt: Initials (Backstitch)
    2. 2nd piece of felt: Button & hardest stitch/applique
    3. Sew both pieces together (overcast stitch) leaving a small hole
    4. Stuff pin cushion and tie off!
